Ministry at Penn State is multi-faceted. Although we are a CCO team, we also have very unique roles on campus.
Elements (Calvary’s College Ministry) is a movement of students who live out their faith in the local church, on campus, and in the world. We’re here to help students find what they need to live out their faith during and beyond college. Among other values, we care deeply about faithful engagement with academics, campus life and culture. We offer a weekly on-campus gathering on Mondays that edifies, equips, and encourages students to go from there to live out their faith among their peers.

International Ministries at PSU is a partnership between several Christian ministries on campus that reaches out to the international community at Penn State through dinners, English as a Second Language, trips, and Bible studies.
Questions? Contact Bill Saxton or Walt Johnston or check out our website for specific information. Barb Saxton and Sue Johnston are actively involved with this ministry through their roles as associate staff members.
CCO staff member Will Gigante devotes most of his time to outreach, especially among student athletes, and CCO staff member Steph Wessel focuses on female undergrads/women’s ministry. In addition, she supports PSU and other area ministries as a CCO XD resource person. Cliff Holmes reaches out to Penn State students in partnership with Unity Church of Jesus Christ. Associate staff member Julie Martin serves as a mentor with Elements and also serves with student athletes. Erik Wessel, associate staff member, works at PSU and volunteers his time where needed.
We each play unique parts to accomplish the goals of the CCO to transform college students to transform the world. With this broad approach, we are able to use our gifts to hopefully make a greater impact on a larger number of diverse students. We pray that God uses us to bring his Kingdom—in its fullness and diversity—to the Penn State University Park campus.
