Judy and Jeff Winter (CCO at Alderson-Broaddus College, 1976-79) renewed their wedding vows last month in the chapel of Gordon-Conwell Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Dr. David Currie, Director of Gordon-Conwell’s D. Min. program, officiated. Dave and his wife Susan worked for the CCO at Thiel College from 1984-87).

Jeff and Judy were engaged 37 years ago in the Gordon-Conwell chapel. Jeff is the pastor of FaithMV Church on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, and Judy is a hospice nurse as well as a part-time intensive care nurse at the local hospital.

They welcome CCO friends coming from all over America to visit them. In recent months, Ken and Rosie Wagoner, Dave Guthrie, Don Opitz and Brad Frey have made the arduous voyage to the island. No passport is needed.

In addition to student alumni, former CCO members came back as well. Brad Frey [1977-80] and Vicki (Johnson) Prusia [1988-91] returned and joined current staff worker Mollie Little, Allegheny class of 1998, who has worked with the CCO at Allegheny since 1999. CCO President Dan Dupee accepted the invitation of master organizer Tim Solomon, class of 1979 (and a CCO staff member in Pittsburgh from 1983-88), to join the reunion as well.

One alumna remembered being told by her staff worker: “God never leaves Himself without a witness.” God’s witness through members of ACO to the Allegheny College community continues into its fourth decade.

During her tenure at the CCO [1998-2009], Stephanie worked with students at the Community College of Allegheny County. serves as an Area Director in southwest Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, and then as Vice President of the Eastern Region and Vice President of Organizational Development.

Todd writes, “Suzie and I are doing well in Holland, MI. Suzie is beginning her 20th year as the Director of Community Ministries at Park Christian Reformed Church, and I am starting my 24th year as professor of economics at Hope College. ”
