The CCO’s Next Generation Gala Dinner Auction was held on April 27, 2012! The Omni William Penn Hotel was buzzing with laughter, talk, music and the sounds of happy bidding!
Chaired by Gretchen R. Haggerty, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of United States Steel Corporation, the Next Generation Gala was a fabulous success for a myriad of reasons. The venue was elegant, the auction items were interesting and varied, and the food was outstanding. The program included a procession of 100 current CCO students, and the guests were some of Pittsburgh’s finest. This was the best year ever as a fundraiser.
When you combine the desire to transform college students to transform the world with generous hands and hearts, success is inevitable. From a Steelers sideline package, a trip to Italy, a Nemacolin Woodlands getaway, and golf packages, to autographed Penguins jerseys, handmade baby clothes, autographed books and, and, and. . . it was the most outstanding year ever!
